Welcome to those who will be joining us for the first time this year, and a warm “welcome back” to our friends who were with us on one of our previous tours. As always, we have taken the suggestions of our past guests and wherever possible have incorporated them into the tour. We have been arranging quality escorted group tours for more than twenty years and have received a lot of very positive feedback from our previous clients. Our goal is to ensure all of our guests are well looked after ,and happy with every aspect of our tours.

Last year was our best tour yet. Partly due to a slightly re-vamped itinerary, but mainly due to the exceptional care and attention given to our guests by our amazing host Neville MacKay. For those who have not yet had the pleasure of getting to know Neville, you are in for an absolutely wonderful time with lots of laughs and lots of TLC.

Our first two “Corrie Street” tours provided our guests with one of the only private backstage tours of the Coronation Street sets and a meeting with one of the actors. Three years ago due to the integrity of our tours, Granada Studios permitted us to be on the set during filming, and our group had a chance to have some great chats with a few different actors. This is something that they don’t normally permit.  Last year the group met many of the actors on the set. Hopefully this year we will again get to meet several of the actors. Unfortunately they don’t know what the filming schedule will be until about two weeks before. We receive hundreds of emails each year from people all over the world who ask if they can just be part of our group for the day in Manchester so they too can have access to the inside sets. Unfortunately, we can’t permit this and reserve this thrill for those special people who travel with us on one of our tours.

There are several major events taking place in Britain at the time we will be there, including the London Marathon, and therefore hotel space in London is very difficult to find and very expensive, and coach companies and hotels require a larger deposit in order to hold space. Hence our deposit amount must reflect this. Unfortunately this is unavoidable, and makes it that more urgent that you get your booking form and deposit in right away. We require at least 25 passengers on this tour in order for the tour to go, so please don’t sit and wait to see how many others have booked before sending in your booking, as if everyone did this the tour would most definitely have to be cancelled. Should we not have sufficient numbers, your full deposit will be returned to you. Please book right away so that we will have the numbers we need to guarantee the departure well before the end of December 2011.

We encourage you to share the itinerary with your friends and relatives. Please send in your booking form right away, as space is limited and we cannot confirm your spot until we receive your booking form and deposit. If paying by credit card, you may fax or scan and email your booking form. (We encourage you if possible to pay by cheque or bank money order, as if paying by credit card we have to charge a 3% credit card fee, which we absolutely hate to charge, but have no choice.)If you plan to fax your booking form, please call to let us know to expect it. Should you wish to make any deviations such as departing for London prior to the group or returning later, the full cost of the airfare plus a land tour deposit of $700 per person must be paid at time of original deposit as well as the insurance premium. Air Canada has changed their policies with group bookings, and once a deviation request is made, that individual’s reservation becomes separate from the group and must be paid in full immediately upon booking. (Group airfare bookings require a deposit not payment in full immediately,…hence the difference). We have no control over this. Any requests for air deviations must be made at time of booking and are charged an additional fee of $50.00 plus any difference in fare over the group air fare. Later requests will be subject to new rates and possible penalties. No deviation requests are permitted within 65 days of departure.

*LAND ONLY RATE IS $3095 per person based on double occupancy- no additional taxes apply, but supplier may be forced to impose a fuel surcharge depending on economic conditions.

*A reduction of $50 per person will apply to triple accommodation

(Please note accommodation in Britain is not as spacious as in North America)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND BOOKING FORM

INSURANCE

Package Insurance is highly recommended. All tour participants must carry out-of-the-country medical insurance. Please take note of cancellation policies. Some form of cancellation insurance should be purchased. Insurance premiums are in addition to the tour costs and must be purchased at the time of initial deposit. Premiums are based upon age, duration of trip, and the cost of the package. Please refer to the attached insurance rate sheet and cancellation policy. If you require insurance that is not listed in the rates below, please contact us for premium details. Please note insurance does not cover pre-existing medical conditions.

DEPOSIT and PAYMENT

A Deposit of $700 per person plus your insurance premium is required. Please remit right away in order to confirm your space on the tour. Deposit amount is non-refundable, however, provided that cancellation is for a valid medical reason, claims may be processed through RBC Insurance if you have purchased the insurance. Should we cancel the tour for any reason you will receive a full refund of your deposit.

Please fully complete the attached booking form and tour cost calculation, and return both with your deposit. It is the responsibility of each tour participant to ensure they have proper documentation. i.e. a valid passport with an expiration date of at least 6 months beyond the return date. We will not be liable for any missed tours due to a client not having the required passport or documentation. Final payment of the balance is due no later than January 30th, 2012. Payment by cheque or bank draft should be payable to Coronation Travel. Should you prefer to use electronic bank transfer please contact us. IN ORDER TO KEEP COSTS AS LOW AS POSSIBLE FOR THIS TOUR FOR EVERYONE, IF YOU WISH TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD WE MUST CHARGE YOU THE 3% MERCHANT CREDIT CARD FEES THAT ARE CHARGED TO US. Up until recently, we did not accept credit cards in an effort to keep tour costs as low as possible, as credit card processing companies charge smaller businesses very high rates. We do accept cheques drawn on your credit card account without any service fee, and cheques, money orders, bank drafts and wire transfers.

INSURANCE RATES

Insurance premiums are based on the total amount of your trip, your age, and the duration of the trip. Please add up the total of your trip including taxes before insurance, and choose the amount rounded up to the closest $100.00. Put this amount in box E on the booking form. If your age bracket is not included in the rates listed, please contact us for a quote. For residents of Ontario, please add in an additional 8% of the insurance premium for taxes. For residents of Newfoundland and Labrador please add 15% to the insurance premium for taxes.

The Deluxe Package Insurance is the recommended insurance. It provides ultimate protection with out of the country emergency medical coverage, trip cancellation coverage, air flight accident insurance, accident insurance, and baggage insurance.

If you choose to decline the Deluxe Package or Non-Medical Package Insurance you must at least carry out-of-the-country emergency medical insurance. Enter the RBC Insurance premium amount on line (F) on the booking form or attach a photocopy of proof of insurance to your booking form. Insurance premiums are not refundable.

Please inquire for rates for just emergency medical coverage if older than 59.As an example, a person between the ages of 75 and 79 who answers the medical questionnaire and has no health concerns would qualify for a premium of approximately $100 with RBC Travel Care Health Select. TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY

If cancellation is due to an insurable reason (illness of a passenger, traveling companion or immediate family member), the cancellation penalties (including the non refundable deposit) below may be submitted through RBC insurance claims department (provided that you have purchased the RBC insurance). Please remember that pre-existing medical conditions are never an insurable risk. Change-of-mind is not covered through insurance. Insurance premiums are totally non-refundable.

We require a minimum of 25 passengers for this tour . If cancelled by us, no penalties apply, and clients will receive a full refund of the tour amount paid. Slight changes or substitutions to itinerary or dates are sometimes necessary due to circumstances beyond our control and do not constitute reason for client cancellation. Every effort will be made to adhere to the itinerary as presented.
